Library Service

Welcome to the Nazarbayev University (NU) Library. The library was established in 2010 as part of NULITS. The NU Library strives to become the center of intellectual life at NU by offering services, facilities, programs, and collections of print and electronic resources by following international standards. The NU community and library visitors can gain full access to most of our subscribed resources and online databases while on-campus. Off-campus access is provided only to members of the NU community.

The key features are:

  • rendering of services and resources in English, Russian, and Kazakh languages;
  • integration into educational and scientific processes of the NU;
  • introduction of library innovation;
  • professional development of the Kazakhstani librarians by sharing the best international and local practices in the field of library science.

About our Collection The library has access to a wide range of resources from print books, periodicals, theses, audio visual materials, microfiche, online databases and a lot more.

Library Working Hours

The Main Library (block #5 of the NU main building) and the Library of the NU School of Medicine (7 floor of the NU School of Medicine building) have the following working hours:

Monday - Friday: 08:30 a.m. - 09:45 p.m.

Saturday – Sunday: 11:00 a.m. - 07:45 p.m.
